Matt Willis will represent Rovers at this summer’s Football to Amsterdam charity challenge.
The 31-year-old, from Oxford, will take on the gruelling 145-mile cycle ride from the Olympic Park in London to the Ajax Arena in aid of Prostate Cancer UK, the Football League’s official charity partner.
Matt, who has supported Rovers since 1991, will join 500 other riders from across the Football League’s 72 clubs for the annual event, which takes place from June 3rd-5th.
“I’m looking forward to the ride and to meeting everyone at the Ajax Arena at the end of it,” said Matt, who is a sergeant in the RAF.
“I’m not a big cyclist, so it’s going to be a massive physical challenge for me. I was quite surprised to hear that I was the club’s only representative, so it’s a bit of an honour really.”
