Final friendly for Ireland

31 May 2016

The Republic of Ireland play their final friendly match this evening ahead of the start of the Euro 2016 finals next week.

Belarus are the opponents at Turners Cross as Martin O'Neill takes one last look at his players before selecting the 23-man squad for the tournament in France.

Having impressed on Friday against the Netherlands, Shane Duffy has done his chances of being on the plane for the finals no harm at all.

The Rovers defender played the full match in Dublin, earning his third cap for Ireland in a 1-1 draw.

Ireland start their Euro 2016 campaign on June 13th against Sweden in Paris, before they travel to take on Belgium in Bordeaux five days later.

The Irish end their group matches on June 22nd against Italy in Lille.
