Matt Grimes made his international debut for England at Under-21 level on Saturday evening.
The on-loan midfielder was a second half substitute in England's 1-1 draw with Switzerland in their UEFA U21 Championship qualifier in Thun.
After a goalless first half it was Gareth Southgate's side who took the lead on 47 minutes when Chuba Akpom applied the finishing touch to Demarai Gray's fine run.
Grimes replaced Ruben Loftus-Cheek on 70 minutes, but despite England enjoying the better of the play, the Swiss levelled with 12 minutes to go when Florian Kamberi scored on the counter attack.
England ended the match with ten men after Jordan Ibe was sent off, but the point ensures the Three Lions retain their three-point advantage at the their top of their qualifying group with three games remaining.
