Despite the disappointment of Saturday's defeat, Grant Hanley feels the lads can take great encouragement from the way they have played in recent weeks.

For the fifth time in seven outings Rovers faced a side at the top of the division, and once again they showed they were more than a match for their opponents.

The Rovers captain knows that they need to get the weekend loss out of their system quickly, with Tuesday's match at Ewood against Birmingham the perfect opportunity.

"We went away to Derby and we totally dominated them as well, then Middlesbrough on Tuesday night, and then to come to Burnley and totally dominate another team that is looking to get promoted, the lads can take massive positives from that," said the Scottish international.

"But that's football, it doesn't always go your way, but we've just got to keep moving forward.

"Thankfully in this league there is no time to feel sorry for yourself, that is the beauty of the Championship, we've got another hard game on Tuesday.

"We'll recover right, get back on the training ground and prepare for Birmingham on Tuesday."
