Jordi Gomez is hoping to keep his record in local derbies going when Rovers take on Burnley this Saturday lunchtime.
The former Barcelona youngster has played for Swansea City against Cardiff City and for Sunderland against Newcastle United and has yet to be on the losing side.
The Rovers midfielder knows the importance of these matches and can't wait to be involved later today.
"Obviously it is an important game and we will try to give our best to get all three points," said the Spaniard.
"Derby games, the atmosphere is brilliant always with the support of the fans, and as a football player what you want is to play in those kind of games.
"We need to make sure that we enjoy it and we give our best to get a good result."
