Grant Hanley feels Rovers can go into Saturday's match with Burnley full of confidence with recent performances and results.

Rovers travel to Turf Moor off the back of two straight league wins, including Tuesday night's impressive 2-1 win over Middlesbrough.

"The form has picked up," said the Rovers captain. "Tuesday night was a massive result for us against a team that are right up there and looking for promotion. So to beat them was good for us.

"So I think that performances, especially of late, have been good and obviously it is a positive going into the weekend.

"We've got quality in the squad, we should be higher up the table and it was about time that the run came.

"We are pleased at the minute and we are starting to get some reward for our performances."

Hanley is also eager to write the wrongs of last October when despite dominating the Ewood Park clash, Rovers ended up on the losing side.

"If that game had ended up three or four-nil in the other direction then I don't think anybody could have argued with it," added the defender.

"But you can't dwell on that and you can't get too disappointed, although it did hurt and everybody at the club did feel it, especially the fans, but we have a chance to put that right on Saturday.

"The game speaks for itself, it is a massive game for everybody at the club and the fans.

"It is a good occasion to be involved in, it is one of them as a player that you look forward to because those are the atmospheres that you want to play in."
