Darragh Lenihan has been delighted to repay the manager's faith in him with his performances for the team.

Since the turn of the year the 22-year-old has been a near ever-present in Paul Lambert's starting XI, drawing high praise from the Rovers boss.

Lenihan has put his success down to hard work, but the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international knows that he still has plenty to do to fulfil his potential.

"At the start of the season I couldn't imagine myself playing so many games," admitted Lenihan. "So I'm grateful for the gaffer showing his faith in me.

"It is every kid's dream to play for the first team when they come over and luckily enough I've worked hard and the gaffer has given me a chance.

"I think many young lads who are given a chance will do well more so than not. I feel that the gaffer and the coaching staff have given me the confidence to improve my game and I'll keep working hard day in day out to fulfil my potential.

"I just want to keep improving, I've just turned 22, I'm still only young and I've got many years to learn and to keep improving my game."

Lenihan and Rovers are back in action this Saturday lunchtime when they face Preston North End at Ewood Park.

Prices start from £22 for Adults, £14 for Seniors, £14 for 18-21 year-olds and from £9 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
