Fully deserved

19 March 2016

Paul Lambert praised his side's determination and spirit as ten-man Rovers defeated Brentford 1-0 at Griffin Park.

Rovers overcame the disappointment of Grant Hanley's 56th minute sending off, by claiming all three points four minutes from time when Shane Duffy blasted home to send the visiting fans into raptures.

"I thought it was deserved, I really did," said Lambert.

"I thought we were very good, even at 0-0 I didn't think we weren't in too much trouble. I thought if we could raise the bar a little bit I thought we could win the game.

"The second half, we were outstanding, to play for that length of time with ten men, we were absolutely brilliant and the goal was a world class finish.

"So I'm delighted for them and I'm delighted for the supporters."

Rovers return after the international break when Preston North End are the visitors to Ewood Park on Saturday 2nd April.

Tickets are on open sale up unti the 12.30pm kick-off with prices starting from £22 for Adults, £14 for Seniors, £14 for 18-21 year-olds and from £9 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
