Whilst Danny Graham took the plaudits for his man-of-the-match performance in last night's 2-1 win over Middlesbrough, the striker felt it was a real team display.

After Hope Akpan had headed Rovers in front moments into the second half, a second goal in blue and white from Graham helped him get one over his former club with a fully deserved three points.

"It was another great performance against Middlesbrough," the forward told Radio Rovers.

"We knew going into the game that if we won we could move further away from that relegation zone, so to put on a performance like that against a very strong Middlesbrough team can only give us confidence going into Saturday's big one.

"It is always nice to score against one of your former clubs but the most important thing was to get the three points no matter how it comes about.

"From 1-11 and the three subs who came on, everyone can hold their head up high."

Aside from the recent win over MK Dons, Graham believes the squad are performing at a high level which can only fill the players with confidence.

He added: "I think we've had a few good performances lately, we were not so good against MK Dons, but we still managed to get the win.

"But to play like that against a very strong team in Middlesbrough is going to give everyone confidence.

"We need to recover now, we've got another game coming up which is massive, so we'll have a couple of days recovery and be ready to go again."

Rovers are back in action this Saturday when they make the short journey to take on Burnley.
