Lee Williamson's Jamaica started their Copa America campaign with a narrow loss on Sunday night, going down 1-0 to Venezuela.

The Rovers midfielder started the game at Soldier Field on the bench, but he got the last 13 minutes in Chicago.

An early strike from Josef Martinez had put Venezuela in control, and the Reggae Boyz task was made all the more difficult when Rodolph Austin saw red soon after.

Despite being a man light Jamaica had opportunities to get back on level terms, but they were left frustrated in front of goal.

They next face Mexico, who defeated Uruguay 3-0 in their opening match, at the Rose Bowl, Pasadena on Thursday.
