Five fixture changes

Rovers can confirm a number of changes to their 2016-17 Championship fixture schedule.

The New Year's Eve fixture away to Huddersfield Town, which was due to kick-off at the John Smith's Stadium at 3pm, will now kick-off at the earlier time of 12.30pm.

The home game against Leeds United, initially scheduled for Tuesday January 31st, will now be played on Wednesday February 1st (kick-off 7.45pm), due to Burnley being at home to Leicester City on the same date.

Rovers’ first ever trip to Burton Albion, which was scheduled to be played at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday February 25th, has now been moved to Friday February 24th, kick-off 7.45pm.
The visit of local rivals Preston North End, which will take place at Ewood Park on Saturday March 18th, has been brought forward to a 1pm kick-off on police advice.

Finally, the away fixture with Nottingham Forest, which was originally scheduled for Saturday April 15th, will now be played at the City Ground on Friday April 14th (Good Friday), kick-off 3pm.
