The draw for the first round of the EFL Cup will take place at 1pm on Wednesday (June 22nd).
In a first for British football, the EFL has joined forces with Sky Sports to stream the draw as a Facebook Live event, providing millions of fans around the world the chance to watch the draw unfold.
The live stream can be watched on the official EFL Cup Facebook page, as well as Sky Sports’ Facebook page, skysports.com and the Sky Sports app.
With 70 teams in the hat, Rovers will be one of the 35 seeded teams and have been placed in the Northern Section of the draw, where they will be drawn against one of the following unseeded clubs in the first round:

Chesterfield
Crewe Alexandra
Doncaster Rovers
Fleetwood Town

First round ties will be played during the week commencing Monday August 8th 2016.
Manchester City are the current holders of the trophy, having beaten Liverpool in last season’s final. The 2016-17 EFL Cup final will take place at Wembley on Sunday February 26th 2017.
