Shane Duffy will be hoping to force his way into the Republic of Ireland team for their second Euro 2016 group game against Belgium.

The Rovers defender was an unused substitute as the Irish kicked off their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Sweden.

Manager Martin O’Neill may decide to shuffle his pack for today’s Group E clash in Bordeaux and Duffy will be desperate to be given his chance.

The 24-year-old enjoyed an impressive end to the season, for both club and country, and will be hoping for his first taste of major tournament football.

Belgium lost their opening group game 2-0 to Italy, who defeated Sweden 1-0 in their second match on Friday afternoon.
