Jamaica's hopes of Copa America progression came to an end after a 2-0 loss to Mexico on Thursday evening.

The Reggae Boyz defeat, allied to Venezuela's victory over Uruguay means they can no longer qualify from the group stages of the competition.

Javier Hernandez headed the Mexicans in front in the first half before his replacement Oribe Peralta doubled their advantage nine minutes from time.

Lee Williamson started the match for Jamaica, he played 77 minutes of the match at the Rose Bowl.

The final group game sees the two eliminated teams go head-to-head as Jamaica meet Uruguay in Santa Clara on Monday.
