Owen Coyle will aim to give his squad as much game time as possible in the two matches at the Globe Arena on Saturday.

Following last week's win over SV Ried, Rovers are back in action in Lancashire with two hour-long matches against Bury and Morecambe.

Rovers face Bury at 1pm, then are back in action at 2.30pm against hosts Morecambe. The Shakers then face the Shrimps at 4pm.

The Rovers boss thinks the format of the two matches is perfect for pre-season and will give him the opportunity for each player to get an hour of game time in what will be two testing outings.

"It is a new format and I think it is good for pre-season," said the Rovers boss.

"What we will do is we will have two separate teams. One team will play in the first game and a completely different team will play in the second game. That then gets those players sixty minutes under their belt.

"Last week at SV Ried it was about getting them that 45, getting them up and running, and now the following week allows us to give them more time against two tough opponents.

"Local games are always full of intrigue, but the fact that it is pre-season and Morecambe and Bury will feel it is a great game to play Blackburn Rovers.

"So it will be a real test which what we want, we know results aren't important in pre-season, but it is always nice when you have worked hard and done well and that is what we will look to do."

Fans can pay on the day at Morecambe with prices at £12 Adults, £9 Seniors (65 and over), £9 Students, and £5 Juniors (age 5-18). Up to three under-14s can enter for free with a full paying adult.
