Rovers' Under-18s won their second friendly of the summer with a 3-0 victory over Preston North End on Tuesday lunchtime.
Billy Barr's side scored three unanswered first half goals to follow on from the weekend win over Morecambe.
It was the perfect start from the boys in Blue and White as they took the lead after just two minutes. Midfielder John Buckley latching onto a through ball from Te-Jay Robinson to fire home.
Buckley almost doubled the home side's advantage just three minutes later but his well-taken shot was expertly tipped over by the Preston keeper.
Rovers continued to enjoy the better of proceedings, eventually grabbing a second on 38 minutes.
After Robinson had been fouled on the edge of the area, Buckley saw his free-kick tipped onto the post, but Callum Wright was alert to the danger to fire home the rebound.
A third followed in added time at the end of the first half as Daniel Butterworth collected a slide-rule pass to race through and finish cooly.
As the heat started to take it's toll at Brockhall, the second half was a much tighter affair, but Rovers defended well to ensure a second consecutive clean sheet to go with the win.
The Under-18s are back in action at Brockhall this Saturday when they host Huddersfield Town at 11.00am.
