David Raya could come up against some boyhood friends if he lines up for Rovers against Girona on Saturday.

For the Rovers keeper's former club UE Cornella regularly faced Girona when he was a youngster back in Spain, and Raya believes they will provide a good test at Ewood Park.

"I've been playing against them since I was a kid aged eight or nine when I moved to Cornella," said the 20-year-old.

"They are one of the best academies in Catalonia and they play at a high level.

"They should be a good team and a good side, they are one league below La Liga, they have been fighting for the play-offs for two or three years in a row, so I think they will be a good side and a good game for us before the start of the season.

"I've got a few friends in their team, I don't know if they are coming as they are my age and could be with the first team or the second team."

Tickets for the match will be on sale up until the 3pm kick-off. Adults can see the game for £12, Seniors aged 65 and over for £5, 18-21 year-olds £5 and Juniors aged 17 and under for just £2.

Supporters should note that the club will only be selling tickets in the Ronnie Clayton Blackburn End Lower and the Jack Walker Stand (upper and lower tiers) for this fixture.

Tickets for the 3.00pm kick-off are available at the Roverstore at Ewood Park, via the call centre on 01254 372000, or book online at and collect on the day. Turnstiles will be open from 2pm.
