Ladies midfielder Jess Holbrook has extended her stay with Rovers for the forthcoming season.
The energetic midfielder, who has previously played for Leeds, Everton and Manchester City, will continue to add some vital experience to the young squad.
Holbrook, who won the Women’s Super League with Liverpool back in 2014, says she continued her stay with Rovers because she is pleased with the progress the club is making and wants to have more of an influence going forward.
"I’ve enjoyed both years I have been here, I get on with everyone really well," said Holbrook.
"We have progressed each season so I’m hoping we can go and chase promotion.
"Last season wasn’t my best, but I’m looking to improve in all areas and to try and score more goals. There is a chance now for others to step up and I’m hoping to try and do that by having more of an influence."
Manager Gemma Donnelly is pleased to have secured Holbrook’s services for another season.
"I am so pleased Jess has extended her stay with us despite fierce competition from other clubs," added the Ladies boss. "Jess would have been a huge loss to us had she chose to move on.
"Jess is extremely comfortable on the ball, quite possibly one of the most talented technical players I have worked with. Her attitude both on and off the field is exceptional and her vast amount of experience at the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City can bring a lot to the team."
