Owen Coyle believes Rovers will be given a good test when they take on Girona this Saturday afternoon.
The Spanish side are the visitors to Ewood Park for today's 3pm kick-off and the Rovers boss feels they'll provide worthwhile opposition.
"Girona is a team that just missed out in their play-off final to get into La Liga, and they missed out the year before as well, so this is a very good side," said Coyle.
"Technically, they will pass and they will move the ball and will be pleasing on the eye. We know that the level in Spain is really high.
"So we know that we are in for a real test but that is why we took the game. We wanted to make sure that building up to the season we wanted to get a real test, a real preparation for Norwich City and I think Girona will certainly give us that.
"It should be a really good game and we are going to certainly have to be patient a lot of the time because they'll have quality."
Tickets for today's match will be on sale up until the 3pm kick-off. Adults can see the game for £12, Seniors aged 65 and over for £5, 18-21 year-olds £5 and Juniors aged 17 and under for just £2.
Supporters should note that the club will only be selling tickets in the Ronnie Clayton Blackburn End Lower and the Jack Walker Stand (upper and lower tiers) for this fixture.
Blues Bar will be open from 12 noon, with turnstiles open from 2.00pm.
