After scoring in each of his outings so far this summer, Danny Graham admits that pre-season couldn't have gone any better.
The striker, who joined on a two-year deal following his release from Sunderland, scored in the wins over SV Ried and Bury, and also in Tuesday night's draw with Rochdale.
Graham is pleased to have found the back of the net with regularity this month, but knows that the friendly matches are all about building up the fitness ahead of the big campaign kick-off against Norwich City at Ewood Park on August 6th.
"I'm delighted with how it is going," Graham told Rovers PlayerHD. "It is always nice to score goals, even if they are only pre-season friendlies, so it couldn't have gone better.
"As a striker, I've started well, but I want to take that and make sure I'm ready for Norwich in the first game of the season.
"But it is all about the team and progressing and building up relationships with the new boys and I think that is coming along nicely as well.
"And it is about getting match fit and match sharp, I got another 80 minutes under my belt against Rochdale, and with each game I'm feeling better, so it is onto Blackpool now.
"It has been hard work, it has probably been the toughest one I've done, but it will all be beneficial come the start of the season."
Rovers are back in action this Saturday when they travel to Bloomfield Road to take on Blackpool.
