Summer signing Jack Byrne was delighted to meet the fans at the Roverstore on Thursday.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, who arrived last month on a season-long loan from Manchester City, was joined by fellow new boys Liam Feeney and Anthony Stokes at the special signing session.
Byrne knows that the support from the fans will be vital throughout the campaign, so was pleased to see them come out in their numbers at Ewood.
"It is important to meet the fans," said the midfielder. "It was great to meet them today and we're grateful for the turnout.
"We'll need them when we're a goal down with 10 minutes to go at home, and when we're one goal up with 10 minutes to go - we'll always need them.
"Especially in and around Christmas time when the games are tough. I think we play six games in the space of two weeks, something mad like that.
"You'll definitely need fans when times get tough and at times like that.
"So whatever we can do to give a little bit back to the fans, because ultimately they're the ones that pay the wages at the end of the day."
Byrne and Rovers are back in action tomorrow when they take on Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
Tickets are currently on sale - Adults £10.00, Seniors (60 & over) £5.00 and Juniors (17 & Under) £2.00.
Fans can also pay on the day, cash only from the ticket kiosk adjacent to the away stand.
