Owen Coyle has been pleased with the impact that forwards Danny Graham and Anthony Stokes have made so far this pre-season.
Graham, who had a successful spell on loan at Ewood Park in the second half of last season, has picked up where he left off with three goals in his three friendly outings to date.
The former Sunderland frontman was partnered by fellow summer arrival Stokes in Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Rochdale, and the Rovers boss was pleased with the way the two of them linked up.
"Hopefully Danny's goalscoring continues from the pre-season into the new season," Coyle told Rovers PlayerHD.
"He's a wonderful player and him and Anthony Stokes, some of their link-up play was terrific, and Stokes could have scored a couple himself.
"You can see that good players like bouncing off each other, they are playing a lot of clever stuff so all in all I'm delighted."
Stokes played alongside Graham in the first half, before moving out to the left in the second half as the manager changed personnel and formation.
And the manager feels that the Republic of Ireland international's versatility could come in very handy.
"Obviously he's a very attack-minded player," Coyle added. "And within that he's capable of playing in a wide area, probably best in a 4-3-3, because in a 4-4-2 there's a lot of defensive responsibilities.
"But he can pop up and you can see Stokes when he faces people up in the box one v one he's very dangerous and he can score goals as he has shown in his whole career."
Rovers are back in action this Saturday when they travel to Bloomfield Road to take on Blackpool.
