As Rovers prepare to kick-off their pre-season match programme against SV Ried this Saturday tea-time, boss Owen Coyle has been delighted with how preparations have gone so far.
The team have spent the past week at their training camp high in the Austrian mountains working hard with three training sessions per day.
The Rovers boss has been pleased with the commitment and application that the squad have shown to date, and believes it can only bode well for the forthcoming campaign.
"I've been delighted with the work that the lads have put in which is all-important," said Coyle.
"It is important that in pre-season we continue to get better physically and mentally for the start of the season, and I've got to say the lads have really applied themselves in all the sessions and it has been a really worthwhile week.
"We've got to know each other, which is important as well in terms of the team spirit, and I think it has gone really well.
"We've asked a lot of them, three sessions per day, and they've applied themselves really well. We've worked hard, which we have to do, but everyone of them has come out with a smile on their face.
"They are a terrific bunch and I've been really pleased by their whole attitude. We've got some good characters, it is a nice mix and I think they've enjoyed each other's company."
