Boss Owen Coyle has paid tribute to the Rovers fans who made the journey over to Austria to support the team in their opening pre-season friendly of the summer.
A second half strike from forward Danny Graham saw the Rovers defeat SV Ried 1-0 in sweltering conditions at the Keine Sorgen Arena.
The manager was delighted with the backing his side received and was pleased to reward their endeavours with the victory.
"I want to say a huge thank you to the traveling fans," said Coyle. "To give up your time to travel to Austria.
"They came in their numbers and were vocal throughout the game, our fans were brilliant.
"So from me and on behalf of the staff and the players a big thank you for turning up because it makes a big, big difference when you have that support there shouting for Blackburn Rovers.
"I'm just glad that we gave what I thought was a good performance today so they could enjoy their weekend."
