Jason Steele insists Rovers have to make Tuesday's point against Queens Park Rangers into a good one by defeating Brighton & Hove Albion later today.

A Hope Akpan header five minutes from time rescued a point for Rovers and halted a run of three consecutive 1-0 defeats.

Rovers return to Ewood Park this Saturday afternoon when Chris Hughton's Seagulls are the visitors and the keeper knows the home side have to claim all three points on this occasion.

"It is a good point to build on but we have to go and win on Saturday," Steele told Radio Rovers.

"We've stopped the run of losing games but now we need to start winning matches again.

"It has been very frustrating to losing games, and we've let just four goals in, in the last four games. But to have scored one isn’t great.

"Hopefully we can kick on now and score a few more Saturday and hopefully get three points."

Tickets for Saturday's match against Brighton will be on sale up to the 3.00pm kick-off with prices from £18 for Adults, £12 Seniors, £12 18-21-year-olds and from just £7 for Juniors aged 17 and under.

Why not avoid the matchday queues by booking online at and collecting your tickets on the day of the game.
