Markus Olsson has today completed a permanent move to Derby County.

The Swede links up with the fellow Championship club on a three-and-a-half-year deal, for an undisclosed fee.

A speedy left-footer, Olsson joined Rovers on a free transfer in January 2012 following a successful trial.

During his four years at Ewood Park, he made 114 appearances, scoring one goal.

"It is a really good deal for the club," said boss Paul Lambert.

"He was out of contract in the summer and could have walked away for nothing, so it was important that we acted in the club's best interests."

Rovers would like to thank Markus for his hard work and effort during his time at the club and wish him all the best for the future.
