Whilst disappointed to lose on Saturday, Paul Lambert was delighted with the display of forward Chris Brown.

Making his first league start since April, Brown put in a man-of-the-match performance as Rovers went down 1-0 to Brighton.

The Rovers boss was pleased to see Brown complete the match and hopes for more to come from the striker.

"I thought he was very good was Chris," Lambert told Radio Rovers. "I thought he was one of the bright spots.

"He battled away really hard and brought people into the game and I thought he was very good.

"That was the type of performance that I knew Chris Brown could play, he's just got to sustain it.

"He's had hard times here but today everybody saw that he played well.

"We've a short turnaround with the game on Monday but hopefully he'll be okay and Matt Kilgallon as well who played his first game in a while."
