A nice problem to have

Paul Lambert admits the performance of Tommy Spurr on Tuesday has handed him a welcome selection problem.

The left back got the nod ahead of Markus Olsson in the midweek draw with Queens Park Rangers, to make his first start since facing the Hoops back in September at Loftus Road.

Spurr put in a man-of-the-match display as Rovers claimed a point, much to the delight of his manager.

"I thought Tommy Spurr was excellent," Lambert told Radio Rovers.

"I had to see Tommy play and what you see with Tommy Spurr is what you get.

"He's exactly the same in training as what he was tonight, up and down, he put some terrific balls into the box and I thought he thoroughly deserved his man-of-the-match to be honest.

"So it gives me that little bit of a problem of having two good left-backs."

Rovers are back at Ewood Park this Saturday when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion.

Tickets for the match will be on sale up to the 3.00pm kick-off with prices from £18 for Adults, £12 Seniors, £12 18-21-year-olds and from just £7 for Juniors aged 17 and under.

Why not avoid the matchday queues by booking online at and collecting your tickets on the day of the game.
