Paul Lambert has admitted that he was set to make changes for Saturday's FA Cup clash with Newport County, as Rovers' injury problems continue to mount.
Rovers were already going to be without strikers Fode Koita (hamstring) and Nathan Delfouneso (knee), as well as long-term absentee Jason Lowe (foot), for the trip to Rodney Parade.
And, after the third round tie was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch just an hour before kick-off, the manager revealed that there had been three more late withdrawals from the squad that travelled to South Wales.
"We'd come down here and we'd made a few changes," said the Rovers boss.
"We had a strong team down to play. Some lads who hadn't been playing were going to play, so it's disappointing for them.
"We've only been here a short time and you want to run your eye over everybody, but I've not had the opportunity to do it.
"Matt (Kilgallon) was going to play, but he picked up a knock just after training and that's really disappointing. It's in his hip and it's given him a little bit of concern, but we'll see how he feels.
"Danny (Guthrie) had a slight thing with his hamstring just the other day, so he was going to miss out and Markus Olsson had a sickness bug, so he was going to miss out.
"So like I said, it was a chance for other ones to play, but nature has obviously got the better of us."
