Paul Lambert felt Rovers didn't get what their play deserved as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Middlesbrough.

After dominating for long spells, Rovers finally took the lead through debutant Jordi Gomez's stunning strike 18 minutes from time.

But Rovers we unable to hold onto their lead and when David Nugent headed hom on 78 minutes, the two teams had to settle for a share of the points.

"I'm disappointed because we should have won the game," said the Rovers the boss after the match.

"We should have been three or four up before anything so I'm disappointed not to have won the game because I thought we came here and dominated.

"I thought we were outstanding from start to finish. I thought the system threw Middlesbrough a little bit and Gomez was getting a lot of joy, picking up the loose ball.

"But we had some big performances, we should have been at least a couple up at half-time.

"That is the type of performance that you have to turn in week-in, week-out."

Rovers are back in action next Saturday when they take on Hull City at Ewood Park.

Tickets are on open sale up until the 3.00pm kick-off, priced from £22 for Adults, from £14 Seniors and 18-21yrs and from £9 Juniors aged 17 and under.
