Rovers' development squad are back in action this Monday night when they take on Swansea City at Leigh Sports Village - kick-off 7.00pm.

It is the first outing for the new-look management team with U21s lead coach Damien Johnson now assisted by fellow former player David Dunn.

The Under-21s go into tonight's match looking to rise the table after what has been a stop-start campaign.

Rovers currently lie 9th in Barclays Under-21 Premier League Division 2 table but have as many as five games in hand on the teams above them.

Tonight's match against Swansea will be the first meeting of the two sides since the Swans became a Category A academy. With Johnson expected to name a youthful squad with the first team being in action against Middlesbrough at Ewood tomorrow night.

Full team news will be confirmed this afternoon.
