Rovers boss Paul Lambert is anticipating another tough test when Fulham visit Ewood Park this Tuesday night.
The Cottagers claimed their first win of 2016 last time out with a comprehensive 3-1 win over local rivals Queens Park Rangers.
Lambert sees similarities between the two sides in their results this season as both clubs find themselves at the wrong end of the table.
"They are the same as ourselves, their form has been a bit up and down as well," said the Scot.
"Their front two are the top goalscorers in the league and in the last month they've been the best team with possession of the ball in the league so we know how hard it is going to be.
"But they still find themselves in that predicament like ourselves. That is why the league is so difficult to predict what is going to happen."
Rovers go into tonight's game looking to get back to winning ways on home soil, and the manager knows that it is vital that they start to perform in front of the Ewood faithful.
He added: "We have to turn the home form into good performances and good results. Your home fans are important to you as they are the ones coming and watching.
"It is strange because away from home we are very good. But your home form has got to be key and a catalyst for what we want to achieve.
"I'm pretty sure that if you look at the teams that are at the top then their home form is really strong and that is what we have to get to.
"We have to get our home form better than what it is. We need the supporters to stay with us all the time and at every turn.
"If we have that, and we start to give them something back, then hopefully that will turn."
