Paul Lambert has praised his counterpart Slaven Bilic ahead of this afternoon's Emirates FA Cup tie against West Ham United.

A place in the quarter-finals of the competition is up for grabs when Ewood entertains the Hammers in the 2.00pm kick-off, with the Rovers boss expecting a tough match against the side currently 7th in the top-flight.

Lambert has been impressed with the way West Ham have performed in this season's Premier League and knows that the match certainly won't be easy.

"Slaven has got them going really well," said the Rovers boss. "They are a really good Premier League side.

"I don't expect anything less than a really strong West Ham team to come here.

"To be fair to Slaven Bilic he has picked really strong side every time they have been in the cup competition so I don't expect this to be an easy ride and I don't expect him to rest players.

"It would be brilliant if we could get through this tie it would be great because you never know what kind of team you could get in the next round.

"You then know you are not too far away from something pretty good, but we need to get over this hurdle first."

Fans who haven't yet purchased their tickets for today's match are advised to get them well in advance of the 2.00pm kick-off as large queues at the ticket office are anticipated.

Database members can opt to order online at and collect them from the Roverstore collection point before kick-off.

The Roverstore at Ewood Park will be open from 10.00am on Sunday.
