Jordi Gomez is proof that anything can happen in the FA Cup, as Rovers look to pull off a cup shock this Sunday against West Ham United.

For the Spanish midfielder tasted cup success as part of the Wigan Athletic side that stunned Manchester City in the 2013 final.

The on-loan star is now targeting another upset as Slaven Bilic's Premier League high-fliers visit Ewood, with a place in the quarter-finals of the competition up for grabs.

"I won it with Wigan when nobody was thinking about it and that shows that the FA Cup is unpredictable," Gomez told Rovers Player.

"Obviously we believe that we can beat West Ham, on the day any team can beat any team, so that is what we will try to do on Sunday.

"They are a really good team with really good players but so are we. We are at home with the fans behind us and as everybody knows anything can happen in the FA Cup.

"The atmosphere in FA Cup games is always nice and hopefully we can have all the fans behind us and everybody coming to the game and that we can get a good result."

Fans who haven't yet purchased their tickets for Sunday's match are advised to get them well in advance of the 2.00pm kick-off as large queues at the ticket office are anticipated.
