Paul Lambert has challenged the players to pick up a healthy haul of points between now and the end of the season.

After their FA Cup exploits at the weekend, Rovers are back in league action this Wednesday night when they travel to take on Derby County.

Despite Sunday's cup loss, the manager believes the team is playing well and has backed them to get a positive result at the iPro Stadium.

"We go on Wednesday night, then Saturday, then Tuesday, so the games are coming thick and fast," the manager told Rovers Player.

"Now we want to put a good run on and climb up that table that is our aim, to win as many games as we can before the end of the season. Then when we get there we'll see what happens.

"When you look back at the Middlesbrough game we should have beaten them. Then we had a good performance and result against Fulham and now we have another good game for us this Wednesday.

"That is the level that we have shown we can play at, we've got players back from Sunday so that will help us.

"We aren't going to go there and sit around, we are going there to try and win. I've always done that and I always will.

"We'll be a stronger team, we are playing well, so lets go and see if we can win."
