Shane Duffy felt that the points were all that mattered as Rovers came from behind to clinch a 3-2 win over Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday.
It took an injury-time winner from Jordi Gomez to secure the points in the home side's favour, but the Irishman admitted the performance wasn't nowhere near as good as they have played in recent weeks.
"We weren't good enough in the first half, it just wasn't acceptable," Duffy told Radio Rovers.
"We got in at half-time, the gaffer got into us, we regrouped, changed it a bit, and we were much better in the second half and fully deserved in the end.
"I know it wasn't the prettiest, but the most important thing was the win.
"That is just our season at the minute, unlucky when we've played well and then we've won ugly. It was nowhere near the performances at Derby or Middlesbrough but we only picked up a point from them.
"The three points are the most important thing and we've got them, it wasn't the best we've played but I'll take the three points all day."
