Rovers' Under-18s are back on the cup trail this Monday night when they take on Aston Villa in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup.

After defeating Southend United and Leicester City to reach this stage of the competition their reward is a match at Villa Park against the Premier League side.

Monday's hosts have beaten Everton and Crystal Palace to reach the last 16.

Under-18s assistant coach Ian Jones believes it is an occasion to savour and hopes the young Rovers rise to the challenge on the big stage.

"It is a match at one of the best grounds in the country, an iconic stadium with history and tradition," said Jones.

"It will be a great occasion for the lads to play in, Aston Villa are a big club with a big academy.

"The lads are looking forward to it, it is our first away tie in the competition this season so it will be another experience for them.

"We are expecting a bit more of a technical challenge from Aston Villa than the one we faced against Leicester City, so it is going to be a really big test for us."

Kick-off at Villa Park is at 7.00pm. The winners will have a home quarter-final tie against either Preston North End or Luton Town.
