We have the strikers to test the Seagulls

13 December 2016

Owen Coyle believes Rovers have the striking talent to trouble a Brighton side that has one of the best defensive records in the country.

The Seagulls travel to Ewood Park this Tuesday night having conceded just five goals in a 14-game unbeaten run that has seen them climb to second in the Sky Bet Championship table.

Despite this, the Rovers boss is confident that they have the firepower to get back to winning ways following the weekend loss at Preston.

"We know that within the club we have goals in our team and players who can create and score goals," said Coyle.

"Coming into the club in the summer we had no strikers whatsoever, so we've brought very good goalscorers to the club in Danny Graham, Sam Gallagher, Marvin Emnes who is now fit once again, and Anthony Stokes who is back amongst it as well. So we have natural goalscorers.

"Also in the wide areas we have people who can pop up and get a goal or create a goal. So if we can look to tighten it up at the back, and it hasn't been easy because of the injuries, as we move forward we can start picking up points and moving to where we want to be."

Tickets for tonight's match will be on sale up until the 7.45pm kick-off. They are priced from £18 for Adults, £12 for Seniors aged 65 and over, £12 for 18-21 year-olds and from just £7 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
