Take out the frustration on Barnsley

Boss Owen Coyle knows it is vitally important that the team put the frustrations of the past week behind them when they face Barnsley on Boxing Day.

After an unwanted hat-trick of defeats, the manager believes the team are putting in the performances, but insists the individual errors have to be cut out if they are to get the required results to rise up the table.

"We are all hurt and frustrated by the week's events in terms of the points return from the games," Coyle told Rovers PlayerHD.

"I thought we put an awful lot into all three games so to get no points from them is hard to take.

"But the only way to change that is to keep performing well and make sure that we stop the individual error and are clinical at the other end. We are creating an abundance of good goalscoring chances.

"We've got to understand that as much as we think that we are still performing well and still competing in all those games, we have to make sure that we get the points to go with that.

"That starts at Barnsley, it is about going there and being ready for the challenge. They are a very hard working team, so we've got to make sure that we are ready and meet the challenge head on and go there and win. But to do that we need everybody at their very best."
