Rovers’ stars played Father Christmas for the day when they visited the Children’s Ward at the Royal Blackburn Hospital.

The first team squad delivered some welcome festive cheer after arriving armed with sacks full of Rovers goodies.
The players posed for pictures, signed autographs and chatted to children, parents and staff before handing out cuddly toys, calendars and selection boxes to the poorly youngsters, as well as board games for the ward.
Rovers manager Owen Coyle said: “When you come into the hospital environment and you see young kids in particular, it puts a lot of things into perspective and we wish them well, we hope they have a speedy recovery and hopefully they can all be home with their families for Christmas, which is such an important time.”
