Learn from the last two results

Sam Gallagher insists Rovers have to move on from the last two results and get back to winning ways at home to Reading on Saturday.

Before the weekend Rovers were on a three-match unbeaten run with seven points from a possible nine, but back-to-back defeats in the space of four days has seen the team slip back down the table.

The on-loan striker knows Rovers have to pick themselves up ahead of the final home game of the year, and understand the areas that need to be improved on.

"We need to put these two results behind us but at the same time we need to learn from them," the striker told Radio Rovers.

"To lose 3-2 twice on the bounce is not ideal but at least the goals are there on our side so it isn't as though we are struggling for ideas or not looking like a threat as we always look like we can do something when we go forward in games.

"It is just one of those things at the moment where the goals go in against you, so we just need to keep going."

Gallagher's brace took his tally for his loan club to nine for the season with a fine brace on Tuesday against Brighton, but he admits the goals mean nothing it they don't result in points for the team.

"For me personally I go into every game wanting to score, whether it is a winner or an equaliser," said Gallagher.

"But still the most important thing is the team, especially the position that we are in at the moment.

"We need to get some results and to score just hopefully gives ourselves the best chance to do that."

Supporters can see the match against the Royals at the pre-Christmas price in all areas of just £10 for Adults, £5 for Seniors aged 65 and over, £5 for 18-21 year-olds and a fantastic £2 for those fans aged 17 and under.
