Continue to collect the points

Owen Coyle is pleased with the side's current form but knows that they need to continue to collect the points as they head into the busy festive period of the season.

Rovers go into this afternoon's Lancashire clash with Preston North End off the back of seven points earned from their last three games, however the manager knows that it is imperative that they concentrate on what is ahead of them, rather than looking back.

"It is nice that we are unbeaten after three games and we want to continue that," said the Ewood boss.

"When you looked at the games, Brentford, Newcastle away and Huddersfield at home and somebody had said you'd get seven points from nine I think we'd have been pleased from that. That being said we wanted to gather all nine.

"But that is behind us now, we can't affect it. What we can affect is the games to come running into Christmas now and that starts at Preston.

"We have to make sure that we are at our very best against a good Preston side, a side that have picked up some big results this year.

"So we are going to have to make sure that we are at our maximum and if we are then we are more than capable of going and winning that tough game."

Rovers fans who haven't yet bought their tickets for today's game can get them from 3pm at Deepdale from the away ticket office.
