Owen Coyle is eager for Rovers to bounce back quickly with a win over Reading on Saturday.
After back-to-back defeats this past seven days, the manager knows it is vitally important that they head into the Christmas period with another three-point haul at home.
The Rovers boss knows it won't be easy against third placed Reading, but believes they are more than capable of putting in a good performance to earn a positive result against the Royals.
"We are always looking for those performances because we feel that if you give a good performance then more often than not it leads to the points that come with it," Coyle told Rovers PlayerHD.
"We are playing against a very good side, a side that is up there at the top of the table on merit so we are going to have to be at our very best.
"When you've come off the disappointment of Tuesday you want to get back on that horse and bounce back quickly, and the important thing always when you've had a disappointment is how you react to it. We now have an opportunity at home against a good side to show that we are ready to go and be more than capable of winning the points and being at our best.
"It is a great game to look forward to, the players are in good heart, they know what they are capable of and that is getting a valuable and important three points at this time of the season."
