We'll show commitment heart and desire

5 August 2016

Owen Coyle says the players will be giving everything that they've got to give the supporters something to cheer about this season.

As Rovers prepare to take on Norwich City in the big season kick-off tomorrow, the manager knows the importance of the team showing the required work ethic befitting of the famous blue and white shirt, something that the fans demand.

"The fans at any club are huge, but particularly in the area we are in, where people work hard all week for their salary and they come and spend their money to support their team," said Coyle.

"For me I think it is important that they know whoever is in that shirt will be giving everything they have got. They won't play well every week, but as long as they try to give everything, and with the added quality that we have, then I think as a supporter when you leave you know they gave everything they did today to try to achieve the result for us.

"The support is all important, so it is up to us when we are on the field to show that commitment, that heart and desire, everything you associate with good teams and good players."
