Elliott Bennett, Elliott Ward and Corry Evans will all miss Saturday's game against Wigan Athletic through injury.
The manager confirmed earlier in the week that midfielder Bennett would be out for up to six weeks with a hamstring strain, and whilst Ward and Evans are making good progress as they look to come back from ankle and groin injuries respectively, neither will make the weekend match at the DW Stadium.
Speaking today, the Rovers boss said: "Elliott Ward tweaked his ankle just as they were about to kick-off against Norwich. He went away to do a couple of sprints and he just felt it turning and it obviously got progressively worse as the game went on.
"He was out with the medical staff today and he can feel it a little bit, but nothing that would stop him from moving, so we'll look at that and see where he is up to.
"Corry did a bit of work on the AlterG (anti-gravity treadmill) and I'll speak to the medical boys to see where he's up to.
"We're hoping to get him to 85-90 per cent of his capacity and then it'll be about building him up so that he'll be ready to start doing some work with the group.
"The difficulty is although he played in the European Championships, he had a three-week break, so he's not been able to do a lot of the foundation work in terms of giving himself that platform that will help with little niggles over the course of the season.
"But hopefully he's over the worst of it and start to move forward because he'll be an important player for us."
Darragh Lenihan didn't train with the rest of the squad this Thursday due to a knock picked up in the EFL Cup win over Mansfield Town, but is expected to train tomorrow.
Fans who haven't yet got their tickets for this Saturday's match at Wigan can pay on the day at the DW Stadium.
