Rovers' development squad are back Premier League 2 action this Saturday afternoon when they face Stoke City.
Damien Johnson's young side will be eager to claim their first victory of the season after following up their last-gasp loss to Fulham with a hard-working draw against Middlesbrough on Monday night at Leyland.
Rovers travel to Harrison Park, the home of Leek Town FC, with a similar squad to the one that played out the goalless draw with Middlesbrough. Trialist Wes Brown is expected to get another runout.
It was a case of honours even when the two sides met last season. A second half goal from Connor Thomson saw Rovers beat the Potters 1-0 at Leigh Sports Village back in October, before Stoke clinched victory by the same margin the following January.
Kick-off this Saturday is at 2.00pm.
