Rovers' Under-18s continued their fine pre-season form with a 2-1 win over Feyenoord on Saturday.
Fresh from Wednesday's 7-0 win over Accrington, it was another excellent victory for Billy Barr's side who are in the Netherlands as part of a pre-season trip organised by League Football Education.
Following a goalless first half in which Rovers saw strong claims for a penalty waved away after Te-Jay Robinson appeared to be fouled in the box, the youngsters opened the scoring on 70 minutes when Stefan Mols volleyed home after a corner kick had only been half-cleared.
The Rovers' lead was then doubled two minutes later through striker Daniel Butterworth as he headed home from six yards.
However the Dutch side did pull a goal back from the penalty spot ten minutes from time. Matty Campbell saved the initial effort, but the striker was on hand to force home the rebound.
But that proved to be mere consolation as the young Rovers saw the game out comfortably.
They are back in action on Tuesday when they face Vitesse Arnhem.
ROVERS: Campbell, Jackson, Williams, Buckley, Jones, Carter, Curran, Evans, Butterworth, Lynch, Robinson.
Subs: Blackburn, Wright, Thompson, Paton, Mols, Makinson.
