Rovers Ladies begin their 2016-17 league campaign this weekend when they travel to take on Stoke City on Sunday.
Rovers took four points off the Potters when the two sides met last season, following up an 1-1 draw in December with a 2-1 win at the Britannia Stadium.
After a busy summer of preparation, boss Gemma Donnelly can't wait to finally get the season underway.
“I can’t wait, the girls are in good shape and raring to go," she said.
"We are all set and I am happy with our comprehensive pre-season and new signings. Now is a good time for us to start.
“Stoke are a great team and have been very strong in the past two campaigns. I expect them to be strong, physical and very well drilled.
“But we have had a very good pre-season, which has been amazingly well run in terms of organisation and progressive in the quality of opposition. For this reason, I expect my players to be completely prepared for challenge on Sunday.”
Rovers have added several new faces into the squad this summer and while Donnelly accepts that others have strengthened too, she is keen to press that Rovers have done the business they felt necessary to achieve their targets this season.
She added: “Many teams in the league have strengthened their squads over the course of the summer, there has been a lot of player movement.
“I felt we only really needed a handful of additional signings to bolster our squad. As a team we have set out our targets for the season and I fully expect to achieve these.”
