Owen Coyle has backed Shane Duffy to bounce back from last night's loss at Cardiff City.

The Republic of Ireland had an evening to forget in the Welsh capital after scoring two first half own goals, before being red carded in injury time at the end of the game.

Duffy will now be suspended when Rovers face Burton Albion at Ewood Park this Saturday, but boss Coyle believes he will be able to pick himself back up.

"It was a horrible night for us all, but for Shane in particular," said the Rovers boss.

"Nobody goes out to make mistakes, nobody goes out to play a bad game, and nobody goes out score own goals which unfortunately happened.

"To his credit he kept going and nearly pulled off an equaliser late on.

"So of course it was a horrible night for him and he'll be suspended for Saturday.

"Shane will pick himself up and go again, that is what he needs to do. We all know that if things don't go well then you come in for criticism, you've got to deal with it head on and you've got to be honest about it."

Tickets for Saturday's match against the Brewers are on open sale up until the 3pm kick-off priced from £18 for Adults, £12 Concessions and £7 for Juniors aged 17 and under.

Book now online at, or at the Roverstore, Ewood Park, or by calling the ticket office on 01254 372000.
