Rovers new boy Derrick Williams admits he didn't have a moments hesitation in deciding to join the football club.
The versatile defender, who can play in the centre or at left back, makes the move to Ewood Park for an undisclosed fee, putting pen-to-paper on a three-year deal.
Williams reveled the transfer has been on the card for a while, but as soon as he was given the green light he was delighted to sign.
"I'm buzzing to be here and really happy to get this done," Williams told Rovers PlayerHD.
"I knew of the move for about a week but I didn't think it would happen, but I got a call last night and I was on my way to Blackburn. As soon as Owen Coyle rang me I knew I wanted to play for Blackburn Rovers.
"It is a massive club, I want to come here and work hard and do my best for the team and help us get up that table.
"I'm raring to go, I'm hungry and looking forward to hitting the ground running."
Williams has been signed in time to face Fulham on Saturday. Tickets for the match are on open sale up until the 3pm kick-off priced from £18 for Adults, £12 Concessions and £7 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
